VIK RELEASES NEW JAZZ BOWLS
Vik is proud to present his Centennial Edition Jazz Series. The re-release of these Art Deco icons coincides with the 75th anniversary of the opening of the series and celebrates Vik’s 100th birthday. The Centennial Edition will be opened with perhaps the most widely-known Jazz Bowls: the parabolic New Yorker.

Artist Heather McClellan is leading a team in handcrafting 100 Limited Edition sets using Vik’s original techniques and iconography; she is working in conjunction with the Cleveland Institute of Art, where Vik was a professor for over 60 years. He has supervised much of the work personally, visiting the studio to fine-tune the process and critiquing the scratch work of individual bowls to ensure they are faithful to his concepts—in some cases varying from any known versions of the designs.
