On a Pedestal: Sculpture Show Juried By Vik

The Sculpture Center’s second annual 3D sculpture exhibition of Ohio artists, juried by the celebrated sculptor and designer, Viktor Schreckengost

The Sculpture Center is exhibiting the works of 19 Ohio artists selected for a juried sculpture show in ON A PEDESTAL, from March 10 through April 14, 2006. Finalist were selected by the celebrated sculptor and designer, Viktor Schreckengost from over 100 entries The free public opening reception is Friday, March 10, from 5 pm to 9 pm, with live music by Bill Lestock. Robert Thurmer, a board member of The Sculpture Center and sculptor, teacher, and Director of the University Art Gallery, Cleveland State University, served as prescreener and will give a welcoming introduction during the reception.

This juried exhibition, now in its second year, is back by popular request from sculptors, art collectors, and art enthusiasts. This exhibition proved to be one of the most highly attended shows at The Sculpture Center in recent years and several works were purchased by art collectors. Works are pedestal-sized sculptures in wood, glass, ceramics, stone, and metals. Many of the works are available for sale.
