Cleveland Non-Profit Receives 100 Percent of Funding Request

Art on Wheels was awarded a grant for its "Inspired by Schreckengost" multidisciplinary events from Cuyahoga County's 2006 Arts and Culture as Economic Development panel. The county-appointed panel funds projects having potential economic and community impact. Art on Wheels will receive $19,855, which represents 100 percent of their funding request.

The events, which began on March 25th, offer hands-on art activities for participants based on selected Schreckengost pieces. These run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. every Saturday until October 31st, 2006. Admission is free and open to all ages and abilities.

Multidisciplinary art classes are the focus of Art on Wheels, Inc., a Cleveland non-profit company that develops hands-on traveling activities in visual art, music, movement and drama. Art on Wheels developed a curriculum based on Viktor’s work at the request of Grant Elementary School in nearby Lakewood. The company was already familiar with Viktor and his work, as he had previously visited with an Art on Wheels class for adults with mental disabilities.
