Schreckengost is one of this county's first industrial designers, and his work is so widespread that it has been suggested that nearly every living person in the US has used one of Schreckengost's or his student's designs. Schreckengost's industrial designs include bicycles, pedal cars, furniture, electronics, vehicles, military radar and ceramics. He designed "Manhattan", the first modern dinnerware for mass production in the U.S., and his "Jazz Bowl" has become an Art Deco icon. 411 State Street, Erie, PA 16501
